This is mostly for my reference, so I’m going to hide the bulk of this post behind a cut to avoid boring you with the details. Unless, of course, you like that sort of thing, in which case, please do click the link for the full post!

My hair is currently two different colors: red where it has been dyed with a 50/50 mix of henna and indigo, and brown where the roots have grown out. Yesterday, while I was getting a trim, the lady told me that I have about 9 inches of roots. I last dyed with henna in November of 2006, which means that I’ve been growing those roots for about 14 months. That comes out to about .64 inches (almost 2/3″) per month. The average is 1/2″ per month.
